FAQs
We know you’ll have lots of questions, so here are some we’re often asked.
Feel free to ask us some more, either by calling us now on 0844 335 1225 or by sending us an email at info@farrar-ci.com
Can I be certain that what I discuss with you will be treated in confidence?
FCI have been involved in investigative work for over 22 years. Client care and confidentiality is always managed in the same professional manner, regardless of the nature of the investigation. Relatively routine assignments are afforded precisely the same degree of care and confidentiality as are more serious, complex or sensitive cases. Details of an enquiry are passed only to those operatives that will be directly involved and at no time are the full details of your case removed from our secure premises. If you prefer, you can speak with one of our female private investigators.
How much is an investigation likely to cost me?
The cost will vary depending upon the nature of the enquiry, the number of operatives engaged and any specialist expertise that may be required. When between us we have agreed upon the objectives of the case, and the best way of achieving those outcomes and likely timeframe, an estimate of cost will be provided. We ask for half the estimated cost to be paid at the outset of the enquiry with the balance paid on completion of the work.
Can I pay you in cash?
Payment can be made by cash, by cheque to or by electronic transfer direct to our account (we will provide details).
How do we keep in touch?
No correspondence is ever sent to you except at your specific request to an address that you have supplied to us. If you wish, you may nominate another person to receive confidential mail on your behalf. Telephone contact can be maintained at times only you specify and when calling, FCI will never give the company’s name.
What if there’s a potential conflict of interest?
If it became apparent that handling your enquiry may lead to a potential conflict of interest, as soon as this became apparent we would advise you accordingly and, if appropriate, discontinue your case. In such circumstances all information relating to your enquiry is confidentially disposed of.
Do you have professional indemnity liability cover?
Yes, FCI has full Professional Indemnity Insurance.
What happens at the end of the investigation?
In most circumstances, at the end of an investigation a documented report is provided. When appropriate, this report is provided in a form acceptable to a court or tribunal. In some circumstances clients prefer to receive a verbal report only. During the course of an investigation clients can, if requested, be provided with periodic progress reports.
